This session involves simulation activities with physicians and attorneys to malpractice issues, violations of regulatory compliance, documentation issues, and office practice risks. Physicians and practice managers will have the opportunity to identify practice risks and learn risk reduction strategies to enhance their medical practice

At the conclusion of this program, you should be able to:

• Implement at least one evidence-based strategy to reduce and avoid fines and penalties associated with HIPAA and CURES compliance requirements

• Evaluate my current practice and identify potential documentation risks

• Develop an action plan to improve my documentation in two specific areas of the medical record
